Background

mike rugby player

Mike Carswell was brought over to Ireland from South Africa in August 1990 to play rugby. He played professionally for a number of years until a severe injury finished his sporting career.

Through his subsequent work as a personal trainer and his own experience of unsatisfactory treatments Mike became interested in the most effective and efficient ways to treat sport injuries. Combining ‘a hands’ on approach to treating injuries with a comprehensive rehabilitation programme Mike brought about a quicker turn around for patients to return fully fit back to their sport.

Mike was inspired when he met the Australian Brisbane Bronco rugby league Physio and he witnesses the results he achieved using just his hands (“these are my tools he informed me!”). This encouraged Mike to pursue Physical Therapy.
